Confirming its long-term collaboration with the specialized information sector, Poste Magistrali participated in the annual Congress of the Italian Philatelic Press Union, held in Turin from 16 to 18 September 2022.

Speaking to the journalists and philatelic writers present, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s Director of Post and Philately illustrated the Order’s government’s 2022 renewal plan for the sector. In his speech he described the 2022 postal issues, all characterized by an even stronger adherence to the Sovereign Order of Malta’s values and traditions of its historic, artistic and spiritual heritage, as well as its hospitaller and assistance activities – for nine centuries the Order’s core mission.  The head of the post and philatelic sector also anticipated some important innovations in correspondence, developed within the framework of the Postal Agreement signed with the Italian Government in 2014. In particular, procedures are being defined that will very soon allow registered and insured mail to be sent from Poste Magistrali with the Order of Malta’s stamps.

Several questions were asked by those present, demonstrating the enduring interest shown by specialized journalists – and more generally by collectors – in philately and, more generally, on the Sovereign Order of Malta’s postal sector.
