Rome, 26 March 2022 – Poste Magistrali has presented the special postmark celebrating the XXVIII International Hospitallers Conference of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, which has taken place in Rome March 24-27, 2022.
During a brief ceremony, the Grand Hospitaller of the Order of Malta, H.E. Dominique Prince de La Rochefoucauld-Montbel affixed the special cancellation on a commemorative postcard.
The stamp, created by Giancarlo Federico, depicts an allegorical scene depicting Blessed Brother Gerard, founder and first Master of the Order, intent on providing assistance to a sick person at the Jerusalem hospital named after St. John the Baptist. The image is taken from an original work by Patrizio Daniele.
The special postmark and commemorative postcard are on sale at the Magistral Post Office.
