On the occasion of the National Philatelic Exhibition “Vastophil 2026“, scheduled to take place in Vasto (Abruzzo region) from 26th to 28th June 2026, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s Poste Magistrali will use the special postmark at the dedicated stand activated inside Palazzo d’Avalos in Piazza Lucio Valerio Pudente 1.

The postmark, designed by Giuseppe Galasso, depicts the famous airship “Norge,” whose first flight over the North Pole will mark its centennial in 2026. This milestone will be celebrated during the 52nd Aerophilately Day, organized by A.I.D.A. (Italian Association of Aerophilately) and scheduled to take place during “Vastophil 2026.”

Items for reposting, individually franked by the sender with stamps belonging to the relevant set, must reach the Poste Magistrali office by 26 August 2026. A suitable self-addressed envelope, bearing the Order of Malta stamps corresponding to the ordinary (Posta4) postal rate in force in Italy, must be enclosed for the postmarked items to be returned under cover. For any return by registered mail, please contact Poste Magistrali in advance.

Items to be returned uncovered must reach Poste Magistrali by 10 July 2026 and must be individually marked as “Corrispondenza filatelica” (Philatelic correspondence) on the address side in indelible ink. Should this indication be missing, it will be applied by Poste Magistrali.
