Stamp description

The stamp depicts the characteristic façade of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, also known as the Duomo, in Spoleto. Above it is a depiction of Filippo Lippi’s frescoes of the ‘Stories of the Virgin’ that adorn the Cathedral’s 15th-century apse. The stamp is completed by the legend “Dedicazione della Cattedrale di Spoleto” and the dates “1198” and “2023”, the inscriptions “SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA” and “POSTE MAGISTRALI”, the coat of arms of the Order’ of Malta’s activities and the face value “€ 1.20”.
