Stamp description

The four stamps depict four aspects related to the history and activities of the Military Corps of the Association of Italian Knights of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. In particular:

  • the € 1.25 stamp is dedicated to the Corps’ Historical Museum, located at the Caserma “Artale” at Cecchignola, in Rome;
  • the € 1.30 stamp depicts a photographic image taken during an exercise involving Corps medical and assistance personnel
  • the € 2.45 stamp shows an officer of the Nucleo Operativo Soccorsi Speciali (N.O.S.S.) carrying out reconnaissance activities on the territory with a remote-controlled drone
  • the € 3.20 stamp shows a photograph of the Hospital Ship “Regina Margherita”, assigned to the ACISMOM Military Corps during the Italian-Turkish war of 1911-1912, flanked by the image of one of the officers embarked on the same ship.

On each stamp there are the inscriptions “SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA” and “POSTE MAGISTRALI”, the legend “CORPO MILITARE ACISMOM”, the Corps’ coat of arms, in which the cross of the Order of Malta is inserted, and the face value, respectively “€ 1.25”, “€ 1.30”, “€ 2.45” and “€ 3.20”.
