the entire surface of the sheet is occupied by an arial view of the Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem, with its imposing central building surmounted by the statue of the Holy Virgin, forming the first of the four stamps on the sheet. Three photographs on the left side of the sheet each constitute a stamp, to symbolize three of the main health services offered by the hospital, namely:

the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), represented by a newborn baby inside an incubator being lovingly cared for by the hospital’s staff;

the Outreach Clinic, that is the external service providing medical and social assistance to mothers unable to go to the hospital, represented by a member of the health team holding a newborn baby in a desert area;

the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, represented by a peacefully sleeping newborn baby, wrapped in the distinctive sheet of the Order of Malta’s Hospital in Bethlehem.

Each stamp bears the writing “SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA” and “POSTE MAGISTRALI”, the coat of arms of the Order’s activities and its face value, respectively € 1.20, € 1.25, € 2.40 and € 3.10.  On the top right of the sheet, the writing on two lines “SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA POSTE MAGISTRALI”, flanked by the Order’s coat of arms. On the bottom right, the writing on two lines “OSPEDALE della SACRA FAMIGLIA Betlemme”.
