| Stamp description | a stamp in a souvenir sheet depicting the Madonna della Seggiola, one of the greatest masterpieces of the Renaissance, commemorating the 5th centenary of the death of Raffaello Sanzio. The painting, on a circular panel, has been kept in the Galleria Palatina of Palazzo Pitti in Florence since 1882. In the harmonious composition, the Virgin faces the spectator seated on an elegant chair, tenderly clasping the Child.
