In October of each year, the three Italian Grand Priories of the Order of Malta make a pilgrimage to the Holy House of Loreto, in Loreto (Ancona). Considered since the Middle Ages to be the earthly home of the Virgin Mary and the young Jesus, the Holy House is located within the large basilica built in 1469, and the holy place attracts millions of pilgrims and visitors every year.

On the occasion of the 2025 pilgrimage, as per tradition, a stand of the Order of Malta’s Poste Magistrali will be set up, where a special postmark dedicated to the pilgrimage will be used. The postmark depicts  the Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto, with the dome in the background and the bell tower rising beside it. It will also be possible to purchase a numbered souvenir card created especially for the event and stamped with the special postmark, as well as the latest stamp and numismatic issues of the Order of Malta.

The stand will be open on Saturday 25 October, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sunday 26 October, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., , in a room on the ground floor of the Apostolic Palace of Loreto.
