Poste Magistrali in Verona

The Order of Malta will be present at the 137th edition of the Verona Philatelic Convention
Poste Magistrali in Verona

In the wake of tradition, the collaboration between the Poste Magistrali Office of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the Associazione Filatelica Numismatica Scaligera (Scaligera Philatelic and Numismatic Association) is renewed. For over ninety years, this association has united collectors and philatelic enthusiasts in Verona, organising the traditional convention in autumn and spring that has become an unmissable reference point for philatelists and experts from Italy and abroad.

From 1 to 3 December, Poste Magistrali will therefore welcome visitors to the 137th Veronafil at the dedicated stand that will be set up in Hall 9 of the Verona Exhibition Centre. The conference, with free admission, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday 1 December and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday 2 December. On Sunday 3, however, the exhibition doors will open at 9 a.m. and close at 1 p.m.

At the stand it will be possible to buy all the postal issues of 2023, to take out subscriptions and to ask for information about the Order of Malta’s stamps and coins.

A special postmark, depicting the Arch of the Gavi, an example of monumental Roman architecture dating back to the 1st century, will be available for postage and philatelic stamps. It will also be possible to purchase the numbered souvenir card specially created for the 137th Veronafil and stamped with the special postmark dedicated to the event.

On the occasion, it will also be possible to pre-order the Year Pack 2023, containing all the postal issues of 2023 enclosed in a valuable illustrated folder.
