Rome, 29 August 2022 – Poste Magistrali today announced another update of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s 2022 stamp issuing programme, initially presented on 23 December 2021 with the last update on 15 June last.
Changes to the previous version regard:
- Reschedule to 16 September for issues initially listed for 5 September
- Inclusion of a joint issue with Romania, dedicated to the Order’s activities there, on the 90th anniversary of diplomatic relations
- Insertion of a two-stamp set dedicated, respectively, to the Lieutenancy ad Interim, which began on 9 June 2022, and the subsequent Lieutenancy of the Grand Master on the following 14 June
- Postponement to 28 November of the issue dedicated to St. Teresa of Calcutta, initially scheduled for September
- Slight changes to face values and the composition of certain upcoming sets, to keep the total cost of the year substantially unchanged.
