The Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s Poste Magistrali returns to Riccione, from 1 to 3 September 2022, for the Philatelic and Numismatic Conference that traditionally marks the end of the summer holidays and the beginning of the new year for philatelists.
The event, to be held in the Palazzo del Turismo, Piazzale Ceccarini, will be open to the public as follows:
- Thursday 1 September from 2 pm to 6 pm
- Friday 2 September from 9 am to 6 pm
- Saturday 3 September from 9 am to 4 pm
At Poste Magistrali’s stand it will be possible to purchase the Sovereign Order of Malta’s latest philatelic and numismatic issues, including the 2022 mini-sheet dedicated to San Luigi Orione and the 2021 numismatic issue dedicated to the recently deceased Lieutenant of Grand Master Fra’ Marco Luzzago. It will also be possible to take out or renew subscriptions for the Order’s stamps and coins.
For the occasion, there will be a special postmark depicting the characteristic facade of the Palazzo del Turismo in Riccione and the logo of the centenary of its establishment as an autonomous municipality. Poste Magistrali wanted to participate in this important celebration, paying tribute to the Romagna town that for three days will become the Italian philately capital. All the correspondence accepted during the event will be stamped with this postmark, as well as the special souvenir limited edition postcard that can be purchased at the Poste Magistrali stand.
