On the occasion of the event for the presentation of the Lombardy Delegation’s health and welfare projects and Polyclinic, scheduled to take place in Milan on 25 October 2023, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s Poste Magistrali will use the special postmark at the dedicated stand set up in the Castello Sforzesco, with entrance by invitation only.

The postmark, created by Giancarlo Federico, reproduces the main façade of Castello Sforzesco with the characteristic Porta del Filarete.

The postmark is completed by the inscriptions “SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA” and “POSTE MAGISTRALI”, “PRESENTAZIONE PROGETTI SANITARI E ASSISTENZIALI DELEGAZIONE DI LOMBARDIA”, “CASTELLO SFORZESCO”, and the date “25.X.2023”.

Since the stand at the event will not be accessible to the public, users may request the stamping of correspondence and philatelic material only by postal service, under the conditions set out below.

Items for reposting, individually franked by the sender with stamps belonging to the relevant set, must reach the Poste Magistrali office by 27 December 2023. A suitable self-addressed envelope, bearing the Order of Malta stamps corresponding to the ordinary (Posta4) or priority (Posta1) postal rate in force in Italy, must be enclosed for the postmarked items to be returned under cover. For any return by registered mail, please contact Poste Magistrali in advance.

Items to be returned uncovered must reach Poste Magistrali by 10 November 2023 and must be individually marked as “Corrispondenza filatelica” (Philatelic correspondence) on the address side in indelible ink. Should this indication be missing, it will be applied by Poste Magistrali.
