Stamp description

In the centre of the sheet, making up the three stamps of equal size, is an original work by the Panamanian master Aristides Ureña symbolising the relations between the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the Republic of Panama, whose flags (that of the Order of Malta Works) are placed at the ends of an ideal boat on which the Panamanian people are seated. The work is intended to emphasise aspects of faith and hope at the basis of the Order of Malta’s action in all the countries where it works, and particularly rooted in the population of Panama. Each stamp is completed by the inscriptions “SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA” and “POSTE MAGISTRALI”, the year “2023”, the emblem of the Order’s activities and the face value “€ 2.45”. Centred at the top, on two lines, is the inscription “Celebrazione del 75° Anniversario delle relazioni diplomatiche tra il Sovrano Militare Ordine di Malta e la Repubblica di Panama 1948-2023”. Bottom left, on two lines, is the inscription “SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA POSTE MAGISTRALI” flanked, on the left, by the Order’s coat of arms.
