The center of the sheet, bordered by the perforation, depicts the icon of Our Lady of Philermos kept in the Chapel of the Magistral Palace in Rome, donated in 2013 by the German Association of the Order of Malta. Completing the stamp are the inscriptions SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA” and “POSTE MAGISTRALI”, the coat of arms of the Order’s activities, and the face value “€2.90.” The stamp is ideally set on a red background in the center of which is the octagonal cross of the Order of Malta, bordered in gold. At the top, centered and on two lines, is the header “SOVRANO MILITARE ORDINE DI MALTA POSTE MAGISTRALI”.  In the lower left corner, on three lines, is the inscription “ICONA DELLA MADONNA DEL FILEREMO CUSTODITA NELLA CAPPELLA DEL PALAZZO MAGISTRALE IN ROMA”.
