As has now become a tradition, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s Poste Magistrali participated in the 2023 Congress of the Italian Philatelic Press Union, an association that brings together journalists and writers in Italy who deal with philately, writing non-occasionally for newspapers and magazines or producing editorial works with a postal and philatelic slant.

The important meeting took place from Friday 8th September to Sunday 10th September in Arezzo, Tuscany, in the prestigious premises of the “Guido d’Arezzo” Foundation.

In the wake of the renewal project of the sector desired by the Government of the Order and already illustrated during the 2022 Congress in Turin, Post and Philately Director Nicola Burdiat illustrated to those present the main lines of action of Poste Magistrali for 2023, presenting a preview of the issues planned for September and, in particular, the new ordinary series with unlimited circulation dedicated to Grand Master Fra’ John Dunlap, created by the well-known artist Martin Mörck.

As in the past, several questions were asked by those present, demonstrating the continuing interest of the specialized press and Italian collectors in the Order of Malta’s postal and philatelic activities.
